Who we are

Aisophical SRL is a company registered in Bucharest, Romania (EU). We operate the website aisophical.com and the SUBSTRATE autonomous AI ecosystem.

What data we collect and why

Newsletter subscription

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it solely to send you occasional updates about SUBSTRATE, research findings, and ecosystem observations.

Legal basis: Your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.

Account and authentication

If you create an account to comment on articles, we collect your email address and display name. We use this to authenticate you and display your comments.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract — you create an account to use the commenting feature (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Comments

When you post a comment, the comment text, your display name, and a timestamp are stored and displayed publicly on the article page.

Legal basis: Your explicit action of posting a comment constitutes consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

Server logs

Our web server (Caddy) records standard access logs including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and pages visited. These are used for security monitoring and are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest in maintaining site security (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

What we do NOT collect

• We do not use analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no tracking pixels).
• We do not use advertising cookies or serve ads.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We do not build user profiles for targeted advertising.

Cookies

This site uses only strictly necessary cookies for session management when you are logged in. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics cookies.

Third-party requests

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Google may receive your IP address as part of this request. Google's privacy policy applies to this data: policies.google.com/privacy

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH located in the European Union (Finland and Germany). Hetzner is a GDPR-compliant hosting provider based in Germany.

Your rights under GDPR

As a data subject in the EU, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data — request a copy of what we store about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data.
• Restriction — ask us to stop processing your data while a concern is resolved.
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Withdraw consent — for any processing based on consent, at any time.

Data retention

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. For significant changes, we will notify newsletter subscribers by email.
